Replaced a prior microhood. Good performance. I basically use it for reheating or thawing simple foods. This microhood is a little larger than the one it replaced. The door is wider and I have bumped into it many times. Need a stool in order to reach to the back of the unit when cleaning it. If you don't slam the door, the unit will show a "door" indicator so you have to close it again for the unit to start. I never had this problem with my old microhood. I found that shopping for a microhood in the shiny black color to match my stove was extermely difficult as there wasn't much to choose from. Since my other appliances are Whirlpool, I was glad to find that they made a microhood to satisfy my needs.

This microwave has been the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned in the past 40 years. The door straight up fell apart and eventually the glass fell out and landed on my foot

I have had my new microwave for 2 months, and I love it! My favorite thing is kind of silly, but I really like that it stops beeping as soon as the door is opened. My model is over the range, and has a light which is nice and bright. I actually use it for a dim kitchen light first thing in the morning, and its perfect. Great size, great functionality.

When mounting above stove the bolt nut pushed through and fell into the unit. Causing us to have to remove and take off casing and find it and then to put back on and attach it with a compound and wait til that dried then remount. Took a great deal of time

This whole transaction has been a disaster! The microwave was supposed to be installed December 11th when it was delivered. Those delivery men said they didnt know they were supposed to install & had no tools. They were ignorant. I wanted to physically throw them out! Scheduled again for the 19th. Something wrong with the schedule, it wanted installed that day! It is now scheduled for December 29th. With all these problems I was promised a $70 refund by Whirlpool. If its not installed on the 29th correctly the microwave will be returned & I will never order anything from Whirlpool again! I think all of the installation charge should be refunded to me plus anything else to make up for this mess!

It was in the new construction home I bought less than a month ago. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is because the one we received seems to be defective, but whirlpool scheduled a technician to come out fairly quickly. Otherwise the microwave is great.

Install was straight forward, replaced an old microwave that was in the space before. Few different mount points as expected. Really liked the template on the box for both back and top mount points.
Controls for operation are intuitive and work well. Realized by mistake that you can heat food while a longer timer is running and when the food is done, the timer comes back to the display. Very nice.
Only very minor wish for change would be the beeper. It sounds like something from a very cheap children™™s toy.

This microwave looks great with my cabinets and easy to use. The only factor that I did not consider with the all black was that it is hard to see the numbers under low light. Maybe not an issue for most but I need to constantly turn on a light to see them.

I bought this, and my son put it in. (Cabinet holes didn't line up same as old, but my son drilled new.) I love that you don't have to press cook time before adding seconds and power. :) I've only had it a couple months. So far I really like it!

I've replaced the FIRST one already because the latch on the door quit working and the door wouldn't stay closed. Now the second on all the trim around the door is splitting off from the door and the only way to fix it is to replace the door at the cost of $300.00. This is a piece of JUNK!!!!!!

Installed on 915/25 and within a week the light bulb needed replacement and the program platform is not good for me. There is no Express time button such as when 1 is pressed it would not begin micorwave for 1 minute and the same up to 5 when I could simply press 5 and it micorwave for five minutes aut. I am sorry thta that I purchased theproduct.

The grease filter is a poorly made piece which does not do a good job of filtering grease. The replacement part from the Whirlpool Parts Department is way over priced. I would rate the customer service from Whirlpool as also very poor and difficult to connect to talk to anyone.

So we™™ve had this for a year already and most of the time it™™s worked great
But about 6 or 7 times now a few issues have come up
Placing the food inside setting the time push the button and it double beeps and nothing happens so open and close door again push button and it works
Also have set timer for 30 or 40 seconds and it ran for 2 seconds and shuts off so have reset and start over
Hopefully not a sign of the future

I called several times, and no one could help me get my appliances serviced. You have no one in my area to service them. Then you told me to find someone have them tell you what parts are needed, and you would order them for the repairman to come back, and whirlpool would pay up to 200.00. I will never buy another appliance from you again.
You need to get someone out here immediately to check all my appliance. If the warranty has run out to back, you still need to honor it. If you need to talk to me email or text me (904) 571-2896

I don't like that it doesn't have a warm setting, I don't like that there is no manual to figure out the melt setting. I HATE the VERY LOUD noise it makes when something is done.......And the door has to be SLAMMED , otherwise you get a "door" reading, once you shut it again, it adds 90 minutes to your time so you have to be VERY CAREFUL. I wish I had NEVER bought it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My partner and I have found that we do not know how to use some ofvthe features of the microwave such as reduced power, multiple items, meat weights, etc. Apparently we paid for these services, but without use instruction are frustrated trying to use them so after a year if trying, we just don't try any more. Why would enclosing a written instruction booklet be so difficult? It sure would make owning this microwave be more enjoyable and less frustrating. Our old microwave was much easier to use.
Also, even thiugh the nee microwave and the old one were manufactured by the same company, the new one did not fit on the old mounting bracket and my brother and I, both reasonably skilled in such tasks, found it very frustrating and time consuming to replace the old mounting bracket with the new one. Might be worthwhile to keep repeat customers in mind when designing replacement units, especially since the life ecpzectsncy of the new units is way shorter than the 15-20 year life we achieved with the older unit.

The lights and fan are pathetic. My old model had loads more fan and lights. When I boil water on the stove, turn on the fan, it does not take the moisture away. The whole time I must wipe the front of my wet microwave!
Called dealer. Guy comes asked questions and took pics of wet front. Took a fan filter out and told me to let it out and someone will get back to me. 2 wks later I called. They were unconcerned. I wished it was out of here!

This was purchased for an office kitchen where there are 30 people employed. The microwave has been well received and all are happy with the purchase. The installation provider came and did great job. They could have done a little better at the clean up.
